Why Channel Preview Exists

The frustrating cycle of uploading, checking, and re-designing.

The Banner Guesswork

I would spend hours designing a beautiful banner, only to upload it and see the most important text cropped out on mobile devices. There was no easy way to test the safe zones.

The Profile Picture Crop

Square designs looked great in Figma, but getting the perfect circle crop on YouTube required endless trial and error to ensure logos weren't cut off.

The Thumbnail Context

Thumbnails looked massive and clear on my monitor, but when placed next to competing videos in the actual YouTube feed, the text was unreadable.

The Breaking Point

Creators lacked a dedicated, private way to test these designs in context. Uploading private videos just to test thumbnails was slowing down the creative process.
