Information We Collect
Channel Preview does not require user accounts and does not intentionally collect personal information through its core tools.
When you use Channel Preview's preview tools (Banner Preview, Thumbnail Preview, Profile Picture Preview, Title Preview), you interact directly with your local browser. No data from these interactions is transmitted to our servers.
💡 The short version: We don't collect your name, email, images, or any files you use in our tools. We have no user accounts, no login, and no profile system.
We may collect non-personal technical information through analytics services (see Section 3) such as page views, browser type, and general geographic region — but never your personal identity or the content you preview.
Local Processing
All images and files you interact with in Channel Preview are processed entirely within your own browser using the browser's built-in APIs (Canvas API, FileReader API). This means:
- Images are not uploaded to our servers at any point
- Images are not stored beyond your current browser session
- Images are not shared with any third party
When you close the tab or navigate away, all image data in the tool is automatically discarded. We physically cannot access what you upload because it never leaves your device.
🔒 Technical note: Channel Preview uses the HTML5 File API and Canvas API. Image rendering happens in your browser's memory only. No network request is made for your image files.
Analytics
Channel Preview uses Google Analytics to understand general usage patterns — such as which pages are visited most, where visitors come from geographically, and what devices they use. This helps us improve the tools we build.
Google Analytics collects:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referring website (e.g., how you found us)
- Browser type, operating system, and screen size
- Country or region (not precise location)
Google Analytics does not receive any images, files, or content you interact with in our tools. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We also use Google Search Console to monitor search performance. This service does not collect any personal data from visitors.
Cookies
Channel Preview uses minimal cookies. The only cookies set on our site come from Google Analytics, which uses first-party cookies to differentiate between sessions and users for statistical purposes.
These analytics cookies:
- Do not identify you personally
- Are not used for advertising or remarketing
- Expire automatically (typically within 2 years)
Channel Preview itself does not set any additional cookies, session tokens, or tracking identifiers. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings. Note that disabling analytics cookies will not affect any core functionality of Channel Preview's tools.
Third-Party Services
Channel Preview uses the following third-party services to operate and improve the website:
Google Analytics
Used to understand page traffic and usage patterns. Collects anonymized session data.
Google Search Console
Used to monitor search performance and indexing. Does not collect visitor data.
Vercel
Our hosting provider. Vercel may log basic server access data (IP address, request time) as part of standard server logs.
None of these services receive the images or content you use within Channel Preview's preview tools. Each third-party service is governed by their own privacy policy.
Data Security
We take a privacy-by-design approach to Channel Preview. By processing images locally in the browser and avoiding server-side data collection, we minimize the attack surface entirely for the most sensitive data: your creative assets.
For the limited non-personal data we do collect (analytics), we rely on industry-standard services (Google) that implement robust security practices.
Our website is served over HTTPS, ensuring all data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit.
🛡️ Our philosophy: The best way to protect your data is to never collect it in the first place. This is why Channel Preview's core functionality works 100% client-side.
Children's Privacy
Channel Preview is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Because Channel Preview does not require account creation or any personal data submission, children are not at greater risk of data exposure while using our tools. However, children under 13 should use the internet under parental guidance.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in any way (such as through a contact form), please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove that information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of Channel Preview after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
If we make significant changes that materially affect how we handle your data, we will make a reasonable effort to notify users through a notice on the website.
